Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP)

 
The Quebec Business Immigration Program is a category of Canadian immigration that is accessible to individuals of high net worth and relevant business management experience. The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) is designed by the Quebec government to attract investors and their capital to Quebec, Canada. By investing the minimum amount of CAD 800,000 in Quebec, the applicant and immediate family are granted permanent residency in Canada, and thus investors are free to reside in any desired province of Canada.

Established in 1986, the Quebec Immigrant Investor program has been recognized as one of the most successful business immigration programs both globally and within the region of North America. The success of this immigration program can be attributed to the simple nature of the program, without any difficult requirements.Therefore, High Net Worth Individuals (HNI’s) are able to apply in order to obtain Canadian Residency.

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program does not require the investor to start a business in Canada or to provide a certain number of permanent jobs for Canadian citizens. In fact, all that the program requires is a minimum investment of CAD 800,000 to Investissement Quebec (the investment can be financed through Canadian selected securities brokerage firms and banks), as well as two years of senior management experience in the past five years. The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is considered one of the easiest routes for high net worth individuals, along with their immediate family, to immigrate to Canada and gain permanent residency. After obtaining permanent residency in Canada, investors are able to apply for Canadian citizenship once the requirements are met.
 
QIIP Benefits:

• Permanent residency is granted to the investor and his/her immediate family (a dependent child must be under 19 years old), allowing the family to share the same status.
• As a permanent resident the candidate has the right to:

1. Get most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage,
2. Live, work or study anywhere in Canada,
