UPDATE TO THE RENEWAL PROCESS FOR B1/B2 VISAS IN AMMAN
Beginning November 28, 2021, you may be able to renew your B1/B2 visa if you meet all of the following requirements:
You previously held a B1/B2 visa and are applying for the same visa type.
Your B1/B2 visa expired within the last 48 months.
You have not been refused a visa since your last issued visa.
Your previous visa was issued at the U.S. Embassy in Amman.
Your primary residence is in Jordan or you are a national of Jordan.
You are not a national of and were not born in Syria, Iran, Libya, Yemen, North Korea, Venezuela, or Somalia.
If you meet ALL of these requirements and would like to renew your B1/B2 visa, please follow the below instructions:
Send an email to AmmanIWP@state.gov and enter the following information on the subject line: LAST NAME, First Name: Passport Number.
Attach to the email a scanned copy of your previous visa, the new DS-160 confirmation page, and a copy of your bank receipt.
Create a profile on www.ustraveldocs.com and associate your receipt with that profile.
Once we determine you are eligible for the visa renewal service, you will receive an email with instructions about how to submit your visa application.
The U.S. Embassy will only respond to emails and visa applications that meet the exact requirements mentioned above. Applications that do not meet the requirements and follow the procedures will be returned without action.

PROVIDE ALL YOUR PASSPORTS
If you are renewing your visa, please remember to provide all your current and expired passports. Applicants with dual nationalities should present passports for both countries. It is important that you provide all your passports when you apply for your visa renewal so that the consular officer can review your travel patterns for the complete time period. If you do not provide all requested passports, you could be required to complete a personal interview in order to decide your case.
GENERAL INFORMATION
If the passport containing the visa has expired, you will need to first renew the passport, and then deposit both the new and all old passports at the Consular section. Additionally, all applicants must pay the USD $160 visa fee, and bring a printed copy of the confirmation page of the online DS-160 form as well as a 2x2 color photograph.
NOTE: Please keep in mind that submitting an application under this visa renewal service does not guarantee approval of a visa. The adjudication of all visa applications must comply with all U.S. rules and regulations regarding visa issuance.
