Canada’s Start-Up Visa Gains Great Popularity
Canada’s federal start-up visa program is a Canadian business immigration program focused on business professionals or high net worth individuals who have innovative business ideas and want to settle in Canada with their families.  Unlike some of the other Canadian programs, the start-up visa program initially targets certain high net worth individuals with a passion for business and a competitive business idea that will benefit the Canadian economy.

To apply for the federal start-up visa program, eligible candidates are required to receive support from one of the following designated organizations in Canada:
Through the start-up visa program, the immigrant investor first proceeds with establishing their own business in Canada, then later gains the ability to obtain Canadian permanent residency.

Recently, the Canadian government announced that the federal start-up visa program has slowly gained ground and has become one of the most popular business immigration programs in Canada.  Investors are increasingly choosing this program over others as a route to obtain permanent residency in Canada.  The evident growth of the federal start-up program is having a positive impact on the Canadian economy.  The investors who are immigrating to Canada through this start-up program are ready to make a major contribution to Canadian society with their innovative ideas, as well as by creating more job opportunities for Canadian citizens.  The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship for Canada, Arif Virani stated: “Every start-up that is established here has the potential to provide jobs and economic opportunity for Canadians, contributing to our country’s growth and diversity.”
