What is the Processing Time for the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP)?
The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) is debatable since the majority of successful Quebec Immigrant Investor Program candidates decide not to settle in the province of Quebec, instead preferring to go to other Canadian provinces such as Ontario or British Columbia. The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program, or QIIP , is the only passive investment program offered by a Canadian province that can result in a Canadian permanent resident visa (Canadian PR).This investor program is pretty popular, and quotas generally fill fast.
Even though Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) candidates are required to sign a declaration that their intention will be to settle in the province of Quebec, both federal and provincial authorities have tiny power to keep them in the province of Quebec once they have permanent residence status.
Free movement within Canada for permanent residents is guaranteed under Section 6 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
