Introduction:
 
Antigua and Barbuda citizenship by investment program (CIP) offers lifetime citizenship and passport to foreign investors who invest in the country. The passport initially issued with 5 year validity can be renewed.

Investment options


Investors can choose from a number of options to qualify for the program:

1. National Development Fund Contribution or Charitable Donation

Investors may choose to make a monetary contribution of US$100,000 (from November 1st, 2017) to the National Development Fund or an approved charity.

2. Real Estate Investment

Applicants may buy property valued at a minimum of US$400,000 in a preapproved real estate development area. The investment must be maintained for a minimum of 5 years. Property registration, processing fees , stamps and taxes must be paid in addition to the property purchase.

3. Business Establishment

Applicants may invest US$1.5 million to set up a business. Two or more applicants may make a joint business investment with an individual threshold of at least US$400,000 and a total investment of at least US$5 million.

In the coming weeks Antigua and Barbuda government will be reducing their investment cost for the real estate option by 50%.   • Preferred shares at US$200,000 for the required 5 year holding period;
  • Fractional ownership of titled real estate starting at US$220,000;
  • Full title ownership starting at US$440,000.
