The Quebec entrepreneur business program is aimed at individuals who possess entrepreneurial skills and who intend on investing in and operating an agricultural, commercial or industrial business in Quebec. In return, investors are granted the opportunity to obtain permanent residency in Canada.
In order to qualify as Quebec Entrepreneur you will need:
- A minimum of CAD $300,000 net worth, all legally acquired.
- A minimum of two years of business management experience in an agricultural, commercial or industrial business, controlling at least 25% of the capital equity in the past five years.
The Quebec entrepreneur business program was re-launched on the 1st of April 2016. The government of Quebec announced that it would accept a maximum limit of 50 applications. The program has now been capped out as the maximum limit of 50 applications has been reached. The government of Quebec will therefore no longer accept applications under the Quebec entrepreneur business program until further notice. Applicants with an intermediate-advanced level of the French language are exempt from this cap and may continue to submit applications at any time.
