Each province in Canada nominates its own immigrants targeting certain individuals such as students, business people, and skilled workers. The provinces also prepare specific criteria to nominate qualified and eligible groups to immigrate and settle in the same province in Canada. The selection process for each nomination program under the business immigration category is different as most of the provinces require the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) or an Entrepreneur Immigration Registration (EIR). Other programs, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) for instance, has no such requirements. The French speaking province of Quebec on the other hand sets up its own laws when it comes to its nomination programs, where the candidates are required to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate in order to be selected by the province.

The province of Quebec offers high net worth individuals the option to immigrate through the popular Quebec Immigrant Investor Program and many other programs such as the Quebec Entrepreneur Program.

This blog will highlight the differences between the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MBPNP) and the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) under the business category. Both provinces have a special set of requirements that differentiate their programs.
