The Quebec Entrepreneur program allows individuals to obtain Canadian permanent residency and enjoy the benefits it offers.
Successful applicants benefit from the Quebec Entrepreneur program in multiple ways, such as being granted permanent residency along with their immediate family members (including dependent children under 19 years of age), allowing the family to share the same status. As a permanent resident, applicants have the right get hold of most social benefits that Canadian citizens receive, including health care coverage; live, work or study anywhere in Canada; apply for Canadian citizenship (if requirements are met); and are also granted protection under Canadian law and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
In order to qualify as Quebec Entrepreneur, the candidate will need to meet the relevant requirements for the program which include:
- A minimum of CAD $300,000 net worth, all legally acquired.
- Have a minimum of two years’ business management experience in an agricultural, commercial or industrial business, controlling at least 25% of the capital equity in the past five years.
