There are many reasons a foreign national may choose to invest in the Caribbean. Among the top cited motives are the consistently beautiful weather year-round, the lower cost of living, the lower tax rates, and access to affordable and first-rate healthcare.
One might be surprised to learn, however, that there are even health benefits to living in the Caribbean. This benefit doesn’t cross many people’s minds due to its intangibility, however, it certainly comes as a pleasant surprise to those who experience more vibrant health.
How can living in the Caribbean improve your health? Most investors who have made the move say that it just happens naturally. The warm weather every day of the year allows for people to go out whenever they want to. The outdoors allows one to breathe in fresh air. In addition, since everything you need is usually within walking distance in the Caribbean, most people prefer to walk to their destinations over taking a car. Walking is one of the best activities for health.
Compare this to the Middle East where everyone not only has but needs a vehicle for mobility. There is nothing better than using your own two feet to get you from point A to point B in the Caribbean. If the distance is longer than a walk away, public transportation is everywhere and extremely cheap as well. Many foreign investors choose to not even buy a car when moving to the Caribbean, even though they could afford to buy several of them.
Another way the Caribbean leads to a healthier lifestyle is by making healthy eating more attainable due to the lower cost of food. There are markets selling produce around town that comes freshly harvested from the local farms. Fish and seafood is plentiful on these ocean-surrounded islands and meat is naturally raised without hormones. All of this can be purchased at a much lower cost than most of the rest of the world where healthy eating is not only unaffordable, but more difficult to access too.
Last but certainly not least, another huge factor in health is level of stress. Investors coming from bigger cities in the Middle East experience high levels of stress from work, pollution, poor eating, and medications. Once in the Caribbean, the laid back lifestyle allows one’s tensions to virtually disappear.
Luckily, there are several programs available in the Caribbean that can allow you to embrace this healthier lifestyle in as little as a few months. One such program is the Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment Program. Investors as well as their immediate families can obtain citizenship to this beautiful twin-island state by partaking in one of the following investment options:
There are many benefits to immigrating to Antigua and Barbuda. But there is no price tag on your health. A happier and healthier you is just an application away!
